-GRAB A DRINK-

Cigars and Stripes
6715 W. Ogden Ave (708)484-1043
www.cigarsandstripes.com
As seen on "Wild Chicago". Cigars and Stripes is often
referred to as a "Misplaced north side lounge". If you like
"Twisted Spoke" in the city, you will love this place.
Cigars and Stripes features one of the best selections of World Class
beers anywhere in Chicagoland. You can find Unibroue Ephemere
and Trois Pistoles, Tripel Karmeliet, Delirium, Gumball Head,
Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Ale, Pilsner Urquell, Sam Adams,
and Guinness all on tap
... Without the city prices! The Bloody Marys
are a house special made with your choice of several of their
specialty hot sauces. Ronnie has a full service tobacco store
in the front that features over 100 brands of fine Cigars
and flaming Hot Sauces. You will also have to try his
smokin' hot homemade "Lottz A Hotz" Giardinera and
Route 666 hot sauce. If you are a cigar smoker, no worries,
just head out back to the beautiful smoker's Beer Garden.
Cigars and Stripes features an "Open Mic" on Wednesdays
for "The Comedy Smoke" with some of Chicago's best comedians.
There is a small stage set up, but there have been major shows
there before including past acoustic shows by Chicago's own,
Epic Records recording artists, Exit The King!. You never know who
you will be sitting next to in this place... it is also a
favorite hang-out for actor Joe Mantegna (Joan of Arcadia,
The Godfather III, etc.) when he is in town... or even
Ogre of the "Revenge of the Nerds" fame. There is also
a game room with Billiards, pinball, and other video games.
There is plenty of free parking for both motorcycles
and cars. WARNING: If they are showing the Sopranos...
You better shut-up or step outside!

Fitgerald's Side Bar
6615 Roosevelt Rd. (708)788-2118
www.fitzgeraldsnightclub.com
FitzGerld’s SideBar, right next door to FitzGerald’s nightclub,
is a throwback to the neighborhood taverns of the 40's
with a casual, friendly, laid back feel; no video games,
one television, and a great selection of beers and wines.
Tuesdays are open mic nights; the adjoining party room
hosts the occasional acoustic show, but there’s never a
cover charge in the bar itself. It's a place to meet friends
|and talk in a conversation-friendly setting.

The Fill-Up Station
2627 S. Ridgeland Ave
This is a great local hang-out on Ridgeland.
The Beer Garden is one of the best kept secrets in the area!
The atmosphere is laid back and you can't beat the
drink prices! They have Gosser and Pilsner Urquell
on tap as well as $4 Martinis! They are also more than
willing to make your martini just the way you like it.
Make sure to check their drink specials... they are some
of the best in town. They offer Saturday afternoon
lunches for free to customers. If you stop by on a Friday
or Saturday night, they provide appetizers for everyone
to enjoy. Come out on Sundays during Football season for
free food as well. Beata often prepares Pastas, Hotdogs,
Sausage and Saurcraut, or even Pizza for customers.
They have three TV's with satellite hook-up to watch your
favorite games and there is also a pool table and a
nice selection of music to listen to. This is a nice small
bar with great friendly service.

James Joyce Irish Pub
7138 Windsor (Near the corner of Harlem on Windsor)
(708)795-1100
www.thejamesjoyceirishpub.com
The best place around for a real pull of Guinness!
This is by far one of the top places in town to grab a pint.
James Joyce will make you re-consider the pubs in any
other suburb or even the city. The interior has been
renovated wonderfully with beautiful woodwork and
stained glass panels throughout. They have a huge selection
of beer and cider on tap, as well as a great selection
in bottles. This is a great, friendly, and intimate atmosphere
with a real Irish Pub feel to it. The owners are all hardcore
Irish lads that have brought a part of home with them
to Berwyn. Located on Windsor Ave. just across from
Berwyn's Harlem Ave. Metra stop, James Joyce is the
perfect place to stop in and grab a pint after work.
If you are hungry or need to grab just a bite to eat,
they also keep menus of many local restaurants that
are more than willing to deliver right to you...
You don't even need to put down your pint.
This is a "Must Try" recommendation!

-GREAT LIVE MUSIC-

Fitzgerald's Nightclub
6615 Roosevelt Rd. (708)788-2118
www.fitzgeraldsnightclub.com
FitzGerald’s was built in the 1920’s and has always been
a gathering spot, from the early days as a hunting club
and watering hole through its teen years as a jazz club
called the Hunt Club during the 50's and 60's, featuring
acts like Bob Scobey, Turk Murphy, Lil Armstrong, and
the Original Salty Dogs. The FitzGerald family bought
and renovated the building in 1980, and since then its
reputation for great music in a casual, comfortable,
unpretentious atmosphere has grown steadily.
The New York Times calls it "a musical gem,"
and the club has consistently found itself in the
top 5 in Chicago polls of favorite venues.
